PM Oli leaves for Thailand to attend BIMSTEC Summit



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli left today (Tuesday) for an official visit to Thailand.

During his visit, he will attend the 6th Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) in Bangkok. The visit is being made at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Phatthongthan Shinawatra.

While in Bangkok, Prime Minister Oli will deliver a speech at the BIMSTEC summit and engage in bilateral discussions. He is scheduled to return to Nepal on Saturday, the 23rd.

Before his departure, PM Oli held consultations with senior political leaders and former officials, including former Prime Ministers Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and Khilraj Regmi, as well as several former Foreign Ministers.
