Westerly and local winds impacting Nepal’s weather



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial influence of western and local winds across the country.

Currently, the weather remains partly cloudy over the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while most other areas are experiencing clear skies.

Light rain and snowfall have been recorded in one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki Province.

By this afternoon, conditions will remain partly cloudy over the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country will continue to have mainly clear skies.

There is also a chance of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

For tonight, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will see partly cloudy skies, whereas the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions.
