PM Oli leaving for Thailand to attend BIMSTEC Summit

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli is leaving for an official visit to Thailand on Tuesday afternoon.

During his trip, he will also attend the 6th Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) in Bangkok.

The visit is taking place at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Phatthongthan Shinawatra.

While in Bangkok, Oli will deliver a speech at the BIMSTEC summit and hold bilateral discussions. He is expected to return to Nepal on Saturday, the 23rd.

Prior to his departure, PM Oli held consultations with senior political leaders and former officials, including former Prime Ministers Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and Khilraj Regmi, as well as several former Foreign Ministers.
