One arrested on charges of raping a minor



BAJHANG: A young man has been arrested on charges of raping a 14-year-old girl in Bajhang.

The District Police Office, Bajhang, has said that 22-year-old Bivek Upadhyaya, a resident of Masta Rural Municipality-4, was arrested on Thursday evening on charges of raping a girl.

According to the police, Upadhyaya was living in a rented flat in Jayaprithi Municipality-10, Chainpur.

Police officials deployed from the District Police Office, Bajhang, arrested Upadhyaya based on a complaint filed by the girl regarding the incident of rape.

The police said that necessary investigation is being conducted into the incident.
