KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the country is currently experiencing the partial influence of western winds and a low-pressure system.
According to the Division, the weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.
Light rain with lightning is occurring in some areas of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces. Mist and fog are also affecting certain parts of the Terai.
The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide this afternoon.
There is a likelihood of light rain with thunder and lightning in various hilly regions, including Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces.
Additionally, light snowfall may occur in higher hilly and mountainous areas.
In the coming hours, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear.
Light rain with thunder and lightning is possible in some parts of the hilly areas, and light snowfall may occur in some areas of the high hilly and mountainous regions.
