Bhim Rawal announces formation of an alternative political force

KATHMANDU: Former CPN-UML Vice-Chair Dr. Bhim Bahadur Rawal, expelled from the party on December 26, announced the creation of a new alternative political force during a press conference in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Dr. Rawal emphasized the need for a patriotic alternative political movement rooted in the welfare of the nation and its citizens.

“This initiative will address national interests with comprehensive ideas, programs, and policies, advancing our steps towards building a new force,” he said, hinting at possible collaboration with existing organized groups.

Rawal proposed uniting nationalist entities, including BP Congress and ex-patriotic military organizations, to secure the future of the younger generation.

He also announced the launch of the Motherland Awakening Campaign to raise awareness against corruption, misgovernance, and arbitrary activities, aiming to unite patriotic and honest forces.

“Our focus should be on safeguarding the interests of the nation and serving the people, making governance accountable and transparent,” he stated.

Dr. Rawal outlined a vision for Nepal’s rejuvenation, calling for the optimal use of human and natural resources for national benefit and prioritizing public welfare.

“Political parties and their ideologies must be tools for achieving national prosperity and sovereignty,” he said.

He concluded by urging the adoption of transparent governance systems, emphasizing that the nation must always come first, and political mechanisms should serve the people’s aspirations and the country’s prosperity.
