Bhim Rawal criticizes PM Oli, says he was forced to seek an alternative path

KATHMANDU: Former UML Vice-Chair Bhim Bahadur Rawal, who was expelled from the party on December 26, has accused Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of adopting a dictatorial approach and fostering corruption.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Rawal criticized Oli for shielding individuals implicated in major corruption scandals and weakening international relations.

He claimed that the state of the nation and its people has become deplorable under Oli’s leadership.

Rawal alleged that Oli has misused power in an attempt to establish a dictatorship and has sidelined those committed to building the party while empowering divisive elements.

Reflecting on his five-decade-long association with the UML, Rawal said he was compelled to take an alternative path to prioritize the nation’s and people’s interests after opposing Oli’s actions.

He described the UML’s decision to seek clarification from him as an act of retaliation orchestrated by Oli and criticized the party for expelling him instead of addressing his concerns about the party’s direction.
