RSP central committee meeting scheduled to last three days

KATHMANDU: The central committee of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to convene from January 3 to 5.

This will be the first extended meeting of the committee since Chair Rabi Lamichhane’s arrest.

Provincial chairs and general secretaries have also been invited to participate in the discussions.

The meeting will focus on recent political developments and the party’s future strategies.

According to RSP spokesperson Manish Jha, the committee will deliberate on the party’s direction, public perception, and how to advance its goals.

The meeting will also include a report on the party’s district gatherings, which have been held in over 60 locations.

The RSP is preparing to hold its central general convention in the first week of May.

However, uncertainties surround the convention if Chair Lamichhane remains in custody.

Deputy Parliamentary Party Leader Biraj Bhakta Shrestha stated that the meeting would clarify the party’s work plan, ideology, and strategies for moving forward.
