Three seriously injured by lightning in Khotang

KHOTANG: Three individuals have been seriously injured after being struck by lightning in Ainselukharka Rural Municipality-3.

The incident occurred last night, affecting Dennis Bhujel, 21, six-year-old Anisa Bhujel, and 15-year-old Samikcha Darji, all from the local area.

According to locals, Dennis and Anisa, who are cousins, along with Samikcha, were injured while inside their home.

The lightning strike rendered them unconscious, and they were initially treated at a local health center before being transferred to the Primary Health Center Anselukharka for further care.

Police Inspector Hari Baral of the Area Police Office in Anselukharka reported that the three individuals are currently receiving treatment at the Primary Health Center Anselukharka.

Health workers have indicated that their conditions are gradually improving and they are now out of danger.
