KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Ranjan Khadka in connection with the murder of Professor Dharma Raj Bista from the Nepal Commerce Campus in Minbhawan.

The arrest was made by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, which presented Khadka to the public on Wednesday.

Professor Bista was beaten to death on Ashar 26, 2064 BS, at Shankhamul in Kathmandu.

The incident reportedly occurred following a dispute involving a woman named Sabita Adhikari.

In earlier developments, police arrested Binod Thapa in 2069 BS and Sabita Adhikari in Chaitra last year, both connected to the case.

Binod Thapa was released in 2079 BS after serving a 10-year sentence.
