Weather: Heavy Rain expected in some provinces today



KATHMANDU: Over the past 12 hours, rainfall has affected the entire country, with particularly significant precipitation in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

Light to moderate rain has been observed in some other areas.

The Weather Forecasting Division has forecasted the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in certain locations within the Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces today.

Currently, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is occurring in many parts of Bagmati and Madhes provinces, with similar conditions affecting other regions.

The country remains generally cloudy.

Looking ahead, the Division has forecasted light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at various locations across all provinces over the next 24 hours.

The Division has advised people to be cautious of possible flash floods, landslides, and other flooding-related hazards.
