Former CM Kedar Karki hands over Chief Minister’s residence key after 22 days

BIRATNAGAR: After resigning from his position 22 days ago, former Chief Minister of the Koshi Province, Kedar Karki, handed over the key to the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday.

Karki, who resigned on May 8, sent the keys to the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers today.

According to sources from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, former Chief Minister Karki handed over the key of the Chief Minister’s residence, along with three vehicles, through his personal secretary Diwas Rajvanshi.

After resigning, Karki filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court demanding his continuity and challenging the appointment of a new Chief Minister.

The petition is currently under consideration.

After handing over the key to the residence on Friday, employees of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat went to the residence of Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki.

The Secretariat informed that it will take a couple of days to clean the residence, which had been locked for over three weeks.
