Ex-Chairman of Kantipur Cooperatives Lama arrested



KATHMANDU: CB Lama, the former Chairman of Kantipur Savings and Cooperatives and current Chairman of Pashupati Savings and Credit, has been arrested.

A team from the Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested Lama in Chitwan.

He is being transferred to Kathmandu, according to the police.

Lama faces charges of misusing Rs 8 billion from the two cooperatives.

A complaint was lodged against him, accusing him of misusing Rs 6 billion from Kantipur Cooperatives and Rs 2 billion from Pashupati Savings and Credit.
