Cloudy skies and scattered rainfall expected across Nepal

KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently under the partial influence of local and westerly winds, along with the low-pressure system emerging around Bihar, India.

As of this morning (Friday), Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati provinces are experiencing normal cloudy conditions, while the weather in the rest of the region is mostly clear with partial cloudiness.

Currently, there is light rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in Koshi Province.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, it will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces this afternoon.

A few places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as one or two places in the hilly areas of Madhes and Lumbini provinces, are likely to experience light rain with thunder and lightning in the afternoon.

There is also a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Kosi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the region will be partly cloudy.
