HETAUDA: The Kulekhani-Sisneri-Chhaimale-Dakshinkali road, a vital link between Hetauda and Kathmandu, has been closed for an indefinite period starting today.

According to Pratap Bhomjan, Chairman of Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-3, the closure is necessary to facilitate upgrading works such as the construction of RCC structures, drainage systems, and black-topping.

The closure will remain in effect until the black-topping works are completed to ensure smooth and safe travel for commuters.

Earlier this month, the Sisneri section of the road was closed for construction activities.

The decision to close vehicular traffic was made by the Ward Office due to concerns that the ongoing operation of jeeps and microbuses could disrupt the ongoing road upgrading works.

Efforts are underway to expedite the construction process, and updates will be provided as the work progresses.
