Helambu jeep accident claims lives of two Bhutanese citizens, helicopter rescues injured



SINDHUPALCHOWK: A jeep accident in Ward No. 1 of Helambu Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk, has resulted in the unfortunate death of two Bhutanese citizens.

On Wednesday morning around 11 am, the Ba 2 Cha 4450 jeep, carrying five Bhutanese citizens and one Nepali (the driver), veered off the road and plummeted 50 meters.

The accident claimed the lives of two Bhutanese nationals on board.

DSP Niranjan Bhattarai from District Police Office Sindhupalchowk, confirmed the incident.

The deceased Bhutanese citizens have been identified as a 33-year-old male named Abge and a 71-year-old male named Wangmo.

In the aftermath, two injured individuals have already been airlifted to Kathmandu from the accident site. Efforts are underway to transport the remaining two injured individuals to Kathmandu promptly.
