New political forces a result of our weaknesses: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, Chairman of the Maoist Center and former Prime Minister, has stated that “we should accept the new faces and political parties that have emerged following the people’s mandate.”

In a social media post on Saturday, Prachanda emphasized that these new forces and leaders have come forward due to the weaknesses of the old parties, and “we should accept them as part of the democratic evolution.”

He said, “I have been referring to the new faces, who have come with the people’s vote, as beautiful flowers blooming in the garden of democracy.”

Prachanda further pointed out that the transformation of the old forces can only occur by acknowledging their own shortcomings.

“It is not by condemning the new forces, born from the weaknesses of the so-called old, but by embracing the democratic process that we can move forward,” he added.

He concluded, “The people determine what is right and wrong, not through the ruler’s power. I believe that it is only through this approach that we can strengthen the democratic republic for which we have fought.”
