KATHMANDU: The International Calendar Determination Committee has announced the timing of Badadashain Tika for 32 countries, including Nepal.

Laxman Panthi, Member Secretary of the Committee, stated that the auspicious day of Bijaya Dashami 2024 has been announced in response to inquiries from Sanatan Dharma followers around the world.

According to the Committee’s announcement, the auspicious time for Kathmandu, Nepal, is 11:36 AM on October 12.

In India, the auspicious time in Delhi is 11:42 AM on October 12.

In the United States, the timings are as follows: New York at 10:01 AM on October 12, Frankfort, Kentucky at 10:39 AM, Owensboro, Kentucky at 09:45 AM, Texas at 10:05 AM, Washington DC at 09:55 AM, and California at 09:39 AM.

For Canada, the best time is 10:15 AM in Toronto and 10:27 AM in Vancouver on October 12.

In Asia and Oceania, the timings are: Tokyo, Japan at 11:35 AM on October 13; Sydney at 11:21 AM; Melbourne at 11:27 AM; Brisbane at 11:29 AM; Canberra at 11:15 AM; and Wellington, New Zealand at 11:25 AM on October 13.

In Europe, the timings are: Lisbon, Portugal at 10:24 AM; London, UK at 10:21 AM; Paris, France at 10:23 AM; and Oslo, Norway at 10:19 AM, all on October 12.

In Southeast Asia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will have its auspicious time at 11:57 AM, and Abu Dhabi, UAE at 11:45 AM on October 12.

Doha, Qatar’s time is 11:05 AM, and Bangkok, Thailand at 11:21 AM. In South Korea, the timing is 09:15 AM on October 13; Tel Aviv, Israel at 09:16 AM; and Singapore at 11:45 AM on October 12.

Additionally, the best time to apply Bijaya Dashami tika in Hong Kong is 11:43 AM on October 13, while in Saudi Arabia, it’s 11:23 AM, Yangon, Myanmar at 11:21 AM, Geneva, Switzerland at 11:55 AM, and Malta at 10:45 AM, all on October 12.

Panthi noted that the Committee made this decision in light of the growing global presence of the Vedic Sanatan Hindu community and the increasing number of Nepalis in these countries who have expressed a desire to celebrate Dashain.
