DHULIKHEL: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced plans to conduct online classes nationwide to ensure that at least 70 percent of students pass the Secondary Education Examinations (SEE).

In his address at the 29th convocation ceremony of Kathmandu University, where he also serves as Chancellor, Prime Minister Oli directed relevant agencies to organize special online classes in key subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science.

“The current pass rate of around 50 percent is unjust to students.

To address this issue, I have instructed the Ministry of Education, Nepal Telecom, and other agencies to implement the necessary measures,” Oli said.

He also emphasized that the government will take clearer and more decisive actions in the future to advance the country’s prosperity and strengthen the education system.

Oli encouraged students to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained to become valuable members of society.

During the ceremony, he presented the Chancellor’s Gold Medal to Mijala Chitrakar for achieving a perfect CGPA at the postgraduate level in the School of Arts, and the Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medal to Mukesh Tiwari for obtaining a perfect CGPA at the graduate level in the School of Sciences.

A total of 2,314 students, including international students, graduated during the event.
