SURKHET: Chairman of Maoist Centre and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has warned that if the government continues to protect corruption and disorder, it will face opposition both in the House and on the streets.
Speaking to reporters at the Surkhet Airport in Karnali Province on Friday, Dahal emphasized that the public is well aware of the government’s formation and the interests it represents.
Dahal criticized the government’s handling of the corruption investigation from the previous administration, indicating that dissent will be increasingly voiced in legislative and public forums.

He suggested that if UML members had articulated the achievements of the people’s war more accurately, the current controversy could have been avoided.
He warned against misusing terms that could misinterpret the meaning established by the comprehensive peace agreement.
Dahal also dismissed rumors about a potential split within the Maoist party, stating that recent discussions have resolved any doubts.
