Monsoon air still influencing weather patterns



KATHMANDU: The monsoon air is currently influencing Nepal’s weather patterns, with the monsoon trough situated to the south of its usual position.

Presently, weather conditions are experiencing partial to general changes nationwide.

Light to moderate rain is occurring in several areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few places in Madhesh Province.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with isolated showers in other regions.

Heavy rain may occur in one or two locations within the Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and isolated showers in the remaining provinces.
