KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center) has announced plans to revitalize the party through a comprehensive campaign.

This decision was made during a meeting of the party’s office bearers on Tuesday.

According to Agni Sapkota, the vice chairman and spokesperson of the party, the recent ousting from the government has provided an opportunity for the party to strengthen itself from the grassroots level.

To plan the revitalization campaign, the party has scheduled a standing committee meeting for August 9.

Sapkota explained that the party’s previous strategy of contesting elections in coalition with other parties had failed to effectively communicate its agenda to the public.

“As a result, the party has decided to contest the upcoming election independently, without forming alliances with other parties.”

Additionally, the CPN (Maoist Center) intends to position itself as a strong opposition force in parliament.

The party aims to hold the government accountable, particularly in areas of corruption control and good governance.
