KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has expressed dissatisfaction with being labeled unstable.

Speaking at the inaugural session of the 10th national convention of Unified Socialist Party in Kathmandu on Sunday, he criticized the characterization (unstable) in the party’s political document, stressing the need for left-wing unity.

PM Dahal attributed the inception of the “People’s War” to his perceived instability.

“If I wasn’t unstable, there wouldn’t have been a People’s War,” he asserted, highlighting his collaboration with Madhav Kumar Nepal since the Panchayat era in defending democracy.

“Now, united, we must spearhead initiatives for left-wing unity based on ideological and organizational cohesion,” he stated, emphasizing the Nepali Congress’s role in charting this course.

PM Dahal also aimed to dispel pessimism within the communist ranks, envisioning a unified front for national prosperity and governance reform.

Critiquing allegations against his anti-corruption efforts during his tenure, he reaffirmed his commitment to combating corruption.

Prime Minister Dahal urged patriotic and left-wing forces to unite in addressing public aspirations for good governance and social justice.

Expressing disappointment over being termed unstable, he asserted, “If I hadn’t been unstable, this government wouldn’t have come into existence.”

He called for respect and unity among all forces dedicated to national progress.
