PM Dahal, Home Minister Lamichhane, and UML Chair Oli meet

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, and Chairman of CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli held a meeting on Sunday at Singha Durbar to discuss recent political developments, according to sources.

The meeting between the leaders of the ruling coalition took place a day after UML Chair Oli met with Sher Bahadur Deuba, President of the main opposition party, the Nepali Congress.

This meeting had triggered a ripple across the political circle.

In recent days, Oli has expressed dissatisfaction with the budget, despite the government’s successful passage of the fiscal year 2024/25 budget with UML support.

Meanwhile, the parliamentary probe committee has initiated an investigation against Home Minister Lamichhane, suspecting his involvement in a cooperative fraud case.
