KATHMANDU: Five political parties have agreed to appoint Chief Minister from the Janamat Party led by CK Raut.

According to the agreement reached on Thursday evening, while Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (led by Upendra Yadav) is preparing to take a vote of confidence by June 10, the five parties agreed to elect Janamapt Party candidate as the Chief Minister.

The Loktantrik Samajwadi Pary and Unified Socialist have also joined the five-party alliance, but these two parties have not signed the agreement.

Sharad Singh Yadav, the spokesperson of the Janamat Party, confirmed that there was an agreement between the five parties on forming a new government in Madhes Province.

However, only the CPN-UML, Maoist Center, and Janamat Party have signed the agreement. The Unified Socialist and Loktantrik Samajwadi have not yet signed.

UML parliamentary party leader Saroj Yadav told Khabarhub that it has been decided to share the ministries by mutual agreement among the parties participating in the government and to continue dialogue with other parties that are positive in the process of forming a new joint government.
