Kathmandu’s temperature likely to hit 33 degrees Celsius today

KATHMANDU: Temperature in the Kathmandu Valley is on the rise, with today’s maximum expected to reach between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius.

The temperature was 28.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and rose to 33.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the weather across the country is currently partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly regions, including Koshi and Sudurpaschim Province, and predominantly clear elsewhere.

This weather pattern is influenced by local winds, westerly winds, and a low-pressure system near Bihar, India, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Later today, the hilly regions, including Koshi, will experience partly to mostly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear.

There is a chance of light rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of the Koshi Province.

Tonight, Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will see partly to mostly cloudy skies, with clear conditions in other areas.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a few places in the hilly regions of Lumbini.

Over the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two locations in the hilly parts of Lumbini province.
