KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial effect of the low-pressure system around Bangladesh, along with the influence of local and westerly winds in Nepal.
According to the Division, there is currently a partial to normal change in the weather in hilly areas, including Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The rest of the country is experiencing partly to mostly clear skies.
This afternoon the weather will remain clear in the hilly areas, including the Koshi Province, with partly to mostly cloudy conditions elsewhere.
There is a possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and windstorms at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
There is also a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Tonight the weather will remain clear in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with partly to mostly cloudy weather in the rest of the region.
