KATHMANDU: The Nawalpur District Court has issued an arrest warrant against Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) lawmaker Geeta Basnet on charges of cooperative fraud.
The court’s decision came after allegations surfaced that Basnet was involved in embezzling funds from the Chhipchhipe Savings and Credit Cooperative located in Nawalpur.
Reports suggest that Basnet’s group has purportedly embezzled around 15 million rupees from the cooperative.
