Sudurpaschim CM Sodari calls meeting of ruling alliance

To discuss cabinet expansion and vote of confidence



KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province Dirgha Bahadur Sodari has called a meeting of the ruling coalition today.

Scheduled for 11 am at the Office of the Chief Minister, the meeting, sources claimed, has been aimed at deliberating government expansion and a vote of confidence.

Sodari, who assumed office with the backing of CPN-UML, Maoist Center, and Nagarik Unmukti Party, seeks to address crucial matters concerning the government’s growth and stability.

Sources further stated that the agenda includes discussions on the vote of confidence and governmental expansion.

It has been learned that CM Sodari is preparing to expand the cabinet, possibly appointing Tika Thapa, a leader of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, as a minister.

Additionally, plans are underway to seek a vote of confidence by Thursday or Friday.

CM Sodari secured Chief Ministership with support from 10 CPN-UML, 10 Maoist Center, 7 Nagarik Unmukti Party, and 4 Unified Socialist assembly members.
