UML to join Bagmati provincial govt, Thapaliya to assume Finance Minister role



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is poised to become a part of the Bagmati provincial government, with Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkatel announcing an extension of the Cabinet today.

Jagannath Thapaliya has been appointed as the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning.

Thapaliya is expected to be sworn in later this afternoon at 5 PM.

This development follows the establishment of a new ruling alliance at the central level, signaling shifts in political dynamics within the province.
