Trishuli Taxi Update: Deceased victims identified



KATHMANDU: The identities of all five individuals who tragically lost their lives after a taxi plunged into the Trishuli river this morning have been confirmed.

The fatal accident occurred at approximately 7:15 AM near the Simaldhara area of Ichchha Kamana Rural Municipality-5 along the Prithvi Highway.

According to police reports, the taxi (Ba 2 Ja 4196), which was en route from Kathmandu to Gorkha, veered off the road and fell approximately 80 meters into the river.

The deceased have been identified as follows:

Hari Maya Rokaya, aged 41

Junkiri Rokaya, aged 70

Anjana Rokaya, aged 28

Aagaman Nagarkoti, aged 9

Arjun Shirmal, the taxi driver, aged 35

All individuals were residents of Gorkha Municipality-7.

Meanwhile, one passenger remains unaccounted for. The missing individual has been identified as Diwas Rokata, aged 18, also from the same municipality.
