Church Boys United secures semifinal spot in Aaha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup



POKHARA: Church Boys United has successfully advanced to the semifinals of the Aaha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup football tournament, securing a victory against Nepal Police Club with a 1-0 scoreline in a match held at Pokhara Stadium on Tuesday.

The crucial goal for Church Boys was netted by Samir Tamang in the 72nd minute of the game.

Following this triumph, Church Boys has now joined Three Star, Nepal Army, and Jawalakhel Youth Club in the semifinals of the Pokhara Gold Cup.

Church Boys is scheduled to face Tribhuvan Army Club in the semifinals on Thursday, while Three Star Club and Jawalakhel Youth Club are set to compete in the first semifinal on Wednesday.

The organizers, Sahara Club, have announced a cash prize of Rs. 12 lakhs for the tournament winner and Rs. 5 lakhs for the runner-up.
