NEPSE retains double-digit growth on Tuesday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a double-digit improvement according to the market indicator.

The NEPSE index rose by 14.88 points, reaching a stable position at 2,119.61 on Tuesday.

In today’s trading session, a total of 5,178,368 shares of 308 companies were traded, resulting in a business volume of Rs 544,217,593.

Banking group witnessed a decline of 0.17%, microfinance group by 0.30%, and non-life insurance group by 0.03%. However, sub-index of other group increased by 3.56%.

Positive circuits were triggered today for shares of Chandragiri Hills Limited, Samaj Microfinance Limited, and Rawa Energy Development Limited.

Meanwhile, amidst various declines, the share price of Mid-Solu Hydropower Limited dropped by 8.35%.

Based on business volume and the number of shares traded, Himalaya Reinsurance Limited had the highest transaction, selling 1,070,072 shares at a price of Rs 752,786,918.
