DHANUSHA: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has announced that the party will contest the upcoming elections independently at all three levels.

Speaking at a press conference in Janakpurdham today, Koirala emphasized that the Congress aims to secure victories by running solo campaigns at the local, provincial, and federal levels.

Koirala also stated that the Nepali Congress and UML will compete against each other in the upcoming elections.

He explained that the current compulsion to form a coalition government with the UML arose due to frequent government changes and the lack of political stability.

Highlighting the need for constitutional amendments, Koirala urged the government to address existing flaws by collaborating with other parties.

He also stressed the importance of holding the party’s general convention on time.
