Helicopter flying from Lukla to Kathmandu makes emergency landing after bird strike

KATHMANDU: A helicopter en route from Lukla to Kathmandu made an emergency landing in Sanga following a bird strike.

A senior official from the company SAID that the Heli Everest 9N-AKG helicopter was struck by a bird, prompting the pilot to land safely to avoid further risks.

The aircraft sustained no visible damage.

According to airport sources, the helicopter carried six passengers, including the pilot, at the time of the incident.
