Clear skies expected across the country today



KATHMANDU: The country is currently under the partial influence of a western low-pressure system, resulting in partly to generally cloudy weather in the hilly regions, including Koshi Province, while the rest of the country remains clear.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas this afternoon, with clear skies elsewhere.

Light rain is possible in a few places in the hilly regions.

There is also a chance of light snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali, Gandaki, and Koshi Provinces, as well as in some areas of the highlands in Sudurpaschim and Bagmati Provinces.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly regions, with clear skies across the rest of the country.

Light snowfall is possible in some high-altitude areas of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces.

In the next 24 hours, light snowfall is expected in some places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali, Gandaki, and Koshi Provinces, as well as in a few locations in the highlands of Sudurpaschim and Bagmati Provinces.

The Department has also issued a warning about the possibility of light rain in a few places in the hilly regions, which could affect daily life, agriculture, health, road transport, and aviation.

Additionally, fog is likely to form in the Terai, Kathmandu Valley, and some hilly areas on Monday morning.
