Partly cloudy skies with rain likely in hilly regions



KATHMANDU: Westerly winds coupled with local winds are currently prevailing across the country.

The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that local winds have a partial effect on the hilly areas.

As of Tuesday morning, the weather in the hilly regions is partly cloudy, while the rest of the country is experiencing partly cloudy to mainly clear conditions.

This afternoon, the hilly areas are expected to be partly to mostly cloudy, with the Division estimating that the rest of the country will remain mostly clear.

However, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in one or two locations within the hilly regions, including Koshi Province.

Tonight, the hilly areas, including Koshi Province, will continue to be partly to mostly cloudy.

The remainder of the country is expected to remain partly cloudy to mainly clear.

According to the bulletin issued by the Division on Tuesday morning, there is a chance of light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province, as well as in Koshi Province.
