Domestic flights resume after weather improves

KATHMANDU: Domestic flights have resumed following improved weather conditions in Kathmandu and elsewhere.

In Kathmandu, flights have restarted at Tribhuvan International Airport and eight other airports nationwide.

Jagannath Niraula, the General Manager of Tribhuvan International Airport, stated that flights utilizing the Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) system are allowed until 10:00 pm tonight.

It’s worth mentioning that over 400 flights were canceled on Friday and Saturday due to adverse weather.

Typically, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) handles about 150 to 160 flights daily. Regular services have resumed at all airports except for Surkhet, according to Niraula.
