School bus accident in Pokhara claims one life

POKHARA: One person lost his life in a bus accident involving LP Devkota Memorial School (Ga 1 Ka 6219) in Pokhara.

The victim has been identified as school office assistant Aarati BK, who passed away following the incident in Pokhara Metropolitan City-21 this morning.

The accident also left the bus driver and 22 students injured.

According to Kaski Police Spokesperson Basanta Kumar Sharma, the injured students are currently receiving treatment at Gandaki Medical College and Manipal Teaching Hospital.

The school bus carrying students from LP Devkota Memorial School overturned in Pokhara on Monday morning.

The incident occurred in Pokhara 17, Fusrekhola, as the bus was returning from a school trip.

According to Baidam Police Chief DSP Rajendra Kumar Shrestha, the bus had 24 occupants, including the driver and co-driver.
