HoR meeting taking place today afternoon

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) under the Federal Parliament is taking place at 1 p.m. today.

During today’s session, two ministers are scheduled to address questions from parliamentarians on issues related to health and population, as well as agriculture and livestock development.

Additionally, Speaker Devraj Ghimire is set to propose the name of a member for the monitoring and evaluation committee tasked with overseeing the implementation of the state’s directive principles, policies, and obligations, in accordance with sub-rule (2) of Rule 28 of the Joint Committee (Operation) Regulations, 2080.

The Speaker will also present a proposal for consideration, originating from the National Assembly, regarding “The Shaheed Dashrath Chand University of Health Sciences Bill, 2080.”

Furthermore, Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ajay Kumar Chaurasiya will propose that the ‘Legislation Bill, 2080,’ which originated in the National Assembly, be forwarded to the relevant committee for a quarterly discussion.

Lawmaker Dr. Toshima Karki is scheduled to present an urgent public importance proposal on the topics of “Reviewing disaster management, creating a comprehensive master plan, and discussing health crisis preparedness.”
