Top leaders join farmers across Nepal in celebrating Asar 15



KATHMANDU: Nepal celebrated National Paddy Day, popularly known as Asar 15, on Saturday, marking the start of the paddy planting season.

This year, the event saw significant participation from top political leaders.

President Ram Chandra Paudel, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development Jwala Kumari Sah all took part in the rice planting ceremonies.

Their involvement highlighted the importance of agriculture to the nation and provided a boost to the morale of farmers.

Farmers across the hilly and Terai regions also celebrated Asar 15 with enthusiasm, participating in the traditional paddy planting activities.
