Budget for coming FY transmits hope among people: Former PM Khanal

KATHMANDU: Leader of the CPN-Unified Socialist Jhala Nath Khanal said that the budget unveiled by the government for coming fiscal year is such type of budget that transmits hope among the people.

Talking on contemporary issues at the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS)’s central office today, leader Khanal, also former Prime Minister, commented the budget for coming fiscal year has prioritized issues such as land reform, agricultural reforms, urbanization, industrialization, education and health among others.

It may be noted that the incumbent government announced a budget of Rs 1.86 trillion for the upcoming fiscal year 2024/025 BS on Tuesday.

He explained, “The policies, program and budget have introduced programs such as poverty alleviation, employment generation and preventing exodus of youths.”

According to him, there was some ‘newness’ in the budget unveiled yesterday. “The budget has spread positivity and hope among the people,” he remarked.

Stating that he was in favor of political stability and prosperity, the leader spoke of the need to focus on successful implementation of the ‘good’ programs included in the budget.
