NCCS Women and Men T-20 Cricket: Kathmandu defeats Lalitpur by 31 runs



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu defeated Lalitpur by 31 runs in today’s match held under the NCCS Women and Men Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament.

In the match held at Mulpani Cricket Ground, batting first after winning the toss, Kathmandu posted a total of 130 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs.

Asmita Kharel contributed the most 37 runs for Kathmandu followed by Kanchan Shrestha (36) and Eli Yadav (18).

For the bowling side, Manisha Upadhyay and Sambhavya Dhakal took one wicket each.

In reply, chasing a victory target 131 runs, Lalitpur was reduced to 99 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.

Yashu Pandey contributed the most for Lalitpur with 35 runs while Rekha Tamang and Savika Yadav scored 16 runs each.

For Kathmandu, Sanskriti Phuyal, Bipisha Shahi and Eli Yadav took one wicket each.

Bhaktapur and Lalitpur will compete tomorrow in the match to be held at the same Ground tomorrow.
