UML’s Daman Bhandari secures victory in Bajhang-1 by-election

KATHMANDU: Daman Bhandari, representing the CPN-UML, emerges victorious in the Bajhang-1 by-election securing 11,612 votes.

Bhandari clinched the win with a narrow margin, with his closest rival being Abhishek Singh of the Nepali Congress.

The final vote count reveals a margin of 266 votes between Bhandari and Singh, highlighting the tightly contested nature of the electoral race.

However, the Office of the Election Commission has yet to make a formal announcement.

Singh garnered 11,346 votes while Janak Buda of CPN (Maoist Center) secured 3,831 votes.

Likewise, Dil Bahadur Singh of CPN (Unified Socialist) got 2,514 votes.
