Suhang maintains lead followed by Thegim in Ilam-2 by-election*



KATHMANDU: In the latest update on the vote tally for the Ilam-2 by-election, CPN-UML contender Suhang Nemwang continues to hold a significant lead, securing 11,078 votes.

In a surprising twist, independent candidate Dakendra Thegim has surged to second place with 7,542 votes, shaking up the electoral landscape.

Nepali Congress candidate Dambar Khadka currently occupies the third position, having garnered 7,324 votes, while Milan Limbu of the Rastriya Swatantra Party trails behind in fourth place with 1,596 votes.

As the by-election progresses, the shifting dynamics reflect the diverse preferences of the electorate, making this race in Ilam-2 one to watch closely.
