KATHMANDU: The race for victory in the Bajhang-1 by-election has reached a thrilling climax as the CPN-UML currently leads the vote count with 10,363 votes.

Trailing closely behind is Abhishek Singh of the Nepali Congress, with 10,354 votes, resulting in a razor-thin margin of nine votes between the two major contenders.

As the competition intensifies, every vote becomes crucial in determining the final outcome of this fiercely contested electoral battle.

In third place, Maoist candidate Janak Budha has secured 3,681 votes, adding further intrigue to the unfolding political landscape.
