KATHMANDU: In a significant development in the ongoing by-election in Ilam-2, CPN-UML contender Suhang Nemwang has solidified his lead by securing a commanding 10,419 votes in the latest vote tally.

Nemwang’s remarkable performance has established a substantial lead over Nepali Congress candidate Dambar Khadka, who has garnered 7,062 votes, trailing behind by a margin of 3,357 votes.

Meanwhile, independent candidate Dakendra Thegim holds the third position with 5,761 votes, adding further dynamism to the electoral landscape.

As the by-election progresses, all eyes remain fixed on the evolving political dynamics in Ilam-2, where each vote holds significant weight in determining the final outcome.
