UML’s Suhang secures 9,484 votes, maintains lead of 2,853 votes

KATHMANDU: In the latest update on the vote tally, CPN-UML contender Suhang Nemwang continues to dominate the race in Ilam, securing a substantial lead with 9,484 votes.

Suhang’s commanding position remains unchallenged as he maintains a significant advantage over Nepali Congress candidate Dambar Khadka, who has amassed 6,631 votes.

The margin between the UML and Nepali Congress contenders stands at 2,853 votes, reflecting Suhang’s stronghold in the region.

Independent candidate Dakendra Thegim follows closely behind in third place with 5,951 votes, while Milan Limbu from the Rastriya Swatantra Party trails with 1,401 votes.

The by-elections in Ilam-2, held on Saturday, have drawn considerable attention, with voters eagerly awaiting the final outcome.
