UML’s Suhang leads Ilam vote count by 2,618 votes; NC’s Khadka trails behind

KATHMANDU: The latest vote tally from the by-elections in Ilam-2 reveals CPN-UML contender Suhang Nemwang maintaining a substantial lead, securing 8,898 votes thus far.

Nemwang’s commanding position is evident as he continues to outpace Nepali Congress candidate Dambar Khadka, who has gathered 6,280 votes.

The margin between the UML and Nepali Congress contenders stands at 2,618 votes, emphasizing Nemwang’s significant advantage.

Independent candidate Dakendra Thegim holds the third position with 4,634 votes, followed by Milan Limbu from the Rastriya Swatantra Party with 1,305 votes.

The by-elections, held on Saturday, saw 21,810 votes counted so far, with 261 votes invalidated.
