KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a current influence of westerly winds and local winds across Nepal.

According to the Division, the weather is partly to mostly cloudy nationwide, with light rain occurring in select areas of the hilly regions within the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Today, the weather is expected to partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly regions and partly cloudy skies elsewhere.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is anticipated in some parts of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as isolated occurrences in other regions.

The possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning persists.

Additionally, the Division has forecasted the likelihood of light snowfall in one or two places within the Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, particularly in high hills and Himalayan areas.

Tonight, partly cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly areas, with partly cloudy skies prevailing elsewhere.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is forecasted in specific areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with isolated incidents in other parts of the country.

The Division has also forecasted a possibility of light rain.

Moreover, there’s a chance of light snowfall in select areas of the high hilly and Himalayan regions.

Over the next 24 hours, the Division has predicted light rain with thunder and lightning in several hilly areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki regions, as well as isolated instances in other parts of Nepal.

Considering the potential for light snowfall in some highland and Himalayan areas, there could be partial disruptions to daily life, affecting agriculture, health, tourism, mountain climbing, and transportation, both on roads and in the air.
